The Blue Place (Nicola Griffith)

As someone who can’t get enough Nordic Noir, somehow I missed this series. I have a feeling it was maybe put into a niche corner since it features a queer protagonist, but it is so much more than her sexual identity. I love Aud, and her complex humanity under intense circumstances is sharply drawn by the author.
